How it works
- Are you a subscription service?
Nope. You don’t have to subscribe to a supermarket so We don’t believe in forcing you to subscribe to our service. You order what you want, when you want it.
- Do you offer free delivery?
We offer nationwide delivery. If you spend over £30 shipping costs are included in your purchase, but we do charge a small shipping fee of £3.95 if the product you choose is under £30!
- Do you offer next day delivery?
Yes, we are very lucky to work with and be on the doorstep of some fantastic suppliers, who have worked hard to be able to supply us fresh produce at short notice. As long as your order is placed before 10am we can deliver the very next day.
- Why don’t you deliver on Saturday, Sunday or Monday?
As many of our suppliers close on Saturdays and Sundays we are unable to take delivery of any fresh produce until Monday. Currently we are unable to offer same day delivery which means Tuesday is the first day we can make any deliveries with fresh produce. We can arrange a Saturday delivery but this will incur a surcharge of £18.70. Please contact us directly for more information.
- What happens on Bank Holidays?
As many of our suppliers are unable to deliver over Bank Holiday weekends and we only want to use the freshest ingredients in our recipes we don’t offer deliveries on the Tuesdays after Bank Holidays. However we will offer Wednesday deliveries on these weeks so you can still enjoy cooking a fantastic meal with us.

- Why do you only offer 5 starters, 5 mains and 4 desserts to choose from?
New and delicious food is what makes The Original Supper Box Co. great. We only offer a small choice for each course because we want to be able to offer our customers fantastic new dishes every week so they always have something new to try. This means that our head chef Jody can focus on refining the dishes and sourcing the finest ingredients so you can have the ultimate dine-in experience.
- You only cater for 2 to 8 diners. What if I have more than 8 diners?
We only offer boxes for these quantities as it enables us to keep costs to a minimum, however you can order multiple boxes if you want to cater for more guests. For orders over 8 people we can offer you bespoke boxes, tailored more to your needs. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Weekly Meal Box
- How does it work?
We design mouth watering simple to prepare suppers perfect for midweek when time is at a premium. All of our dishes are developed by our skilled chefs with health, balance and flavour in mind. We try to ensure that each dish takes no more than 30 minutes to prepare and cook and keep things fresh and interesting.
- When can we receive our box?
Just like our dinner party food, we can deliver nationwide on a day of your choice between Tuesday and Friday. Simply order at the website and select your delivery date.
- Are your recipes suitable for anyone to make?
Our head chef designs all of our recipes so that anyone can make them at home – as long as you’re over 18!! However, as some of the recipes are slightly trickier than others and some people like a little challenge in the kitchen we state on each recipe the skill level required – don’t worry, when we say ‘skill level: high’ you don’t need to be a Michelin star chef to cook the dish.
- Are your recipes seasonal?
We always try to keep our recipes in line with the seasons. This means we can always ensure our recipes only use the freshest, tastiest ingredients when there at their best! This is also why we update our recipes weekly.
- Are your meals healthy?
Our menus are designed to be as healthy as possible, by using high quality ingredients and a varied pallet, we aim to produce well balanced dishes. We always try to keep our meals as healthy as possible, that’s why we only use fresh ingredients. In the same breath, we’d hate to deprive you of any indulgent tasty treats.
- Can I see what recipes are coming up?
The next week’s recipes are always updated on our website every Thursday lunchtime. You’re then able to order these from the Thursday after 12pm to the following Thursday. You can also sign up to our monthly newsletter to see upcoming recipes, tips, advice and competitions. - Who do you use to supply all of your ingredients?
We always try to source local produce for our recipes as we’re very privileged to be in a fantastic part of the English countryside on the edge of the Surrey Sussex border. We have a plethora of independent suppliers, for example Ruckmans Farm, who supply all of our beef from there award winning Hereford cattle herd. We can in fact see the cows from the window of Supper Box HQ.However, due to the variety of some of our dishes, some ingredients are impossible to source locally as they are naturally from different parts of the world. In these cases we use suppliers that source the best ingredients from abroad at the right time. Our purchasing policy is to buy the best ingredients available with an accent on buying British.
- Is all of your meat, fish and dairy supplied from farms where animal welfare in upheld?
Yes, we ensure all of our meat is supplied from farms that adhere to the RSPCA’s Freedom Food Standards, our dairy is sourced from ‘Farm Fresh’ standard farms, our eggs are free range and all our fish is from sustainable stock and is fished in an ethical way.
- Where do you deliver?
If your order is for over £30 then delivery is absolutely FREE, if it’s under £30 then a £3.95 delivery fee is applicable. We currently deliver across the UK mainland. However we are unable to deliver to the following postcodes: AB31-38, AB40-56, IV1-28, IV30-32, IV36, IV40, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-38, PH4-41, PH49, PH50, HS, IV41-49, IV51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE, IM, GY, JE.
- When do you deliver?

- Why can’t I choose my delivery time?
Our specialist couriers base their deliveries on the most efficient route to keep emissions at a minimum. However, when we are due to deliver your box you’ll get an email from the courier where you can track your parcel and get estimated times.
- What if I am not at home to receive the delivery?
We understand that most of our customers lead busy lives and that you may not be in to accept your delivery. If this is the case, simply enter your special delivery instructions such as, with your neighbour or in the cupboard at the checkout and we’ll ensure our friendly drivers deliver it to your chosen place. Let’s not forget that you can always have our boxes delivered to your place of work.
- Will the produce remain fresh if I’m not in to accept my delivery?
We use special temperature regulated packaging and cooling packs designed to keep the products fresh for longer, this keeps the produce at the correct ambient temperature. However you do need to ensure that you transfer the contents to your fridge on at the earliest opportunity.
- Do you deliver to my workplace?
Yes, we can deliver direct to your workplace between 9am and 6pm. Our thermal insulated packaging will ensure the produce will stay at the correct temperature until you get home, as long as you transfer to fridge as soon as your home.
- How does the box keep the produce cool?
Our box has been developed over the last few years as an alternative to polystyrene boxes. Polystyrene are the worst offenders for landfill and environmental issues as this product does not biodegrade and is so bulky for landfill too. This new style of box is made from corrugate and specialised laminates to allow the basic corrugate to repel the outside elements and keep the temperature correct for 24 hours. The box is also made waterproof by a further laminated film.
- How long will the produce last in the box?
The boxes have been tested to ensure they keep the ingredients at the correct temperature for around 24 hours. However they are temperature conservative boxes so you should transfer the contents to a refrigerator as soon as possible.
- Can I recycle my box?
Our box is suitable to be recycled and can be put into the general paper waste but we hope that you may find it a suitable box to keep and possibly use for the next picnic you go on or to keep drinks cooler in the summer with the aid of ice packs. Just open out and store away for another use instead of throwing out at all.
